Our department is delighted to be co-sponsoring a unique performance in Philadelphia by the Martha Graham Dance Company that will feature live performances of Cave of the Heart (1946), a dance that explores the character of Medea, and Errand into the Maze, the company’s 2013 version of a duet about the myth of Theseus and the Minotaur that focuses on the figure of Ariadne.
The performance will take place at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre of the Philadelphia Theatre Company on Saturday, January 4, 2025, 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
Low-cost tickets are available to the general public as well as to participants in the Society for Classical Studies and American Institute of Archaeology annual meeting (with a discounted rate for students).
