PRIAPEIA

A collection of some eighty elegant but indecent Latin poems in various metres on the subject of Priapus. Judging from their execution, they may be referred to the time of Augustus, and may probably be traced to the circle of Messala, who, like other distinguished men of that age, occupied himself with trivial amusements of this kind.
