Title: But You’re Not a Historian: Reception History in Biblical Studies

Abstract: Join us on Zoom for an exciting discussion between Nyasha Junior and Ellen Muehlberger. Junior is associate professor in the Department of Religion at Temple University. Muehlberger is professor of History and Middle East Studies at the University of Michigan. Muehlberger will engage Junior in conversation about Junior's research trajectory as a biblical scholar. Junior is the author of  An Introduction to Womanist Biblical Scholarship (WJK, 2015),  Reimagining Hagar: Blackness and Bible (Oxford UP, 2019), and (co-author)  Black Samson: The Untold Story of an American Icon (Oxford UP, 2020).
